Yugal Kishore Mohanta is working as doctoral scientist at PG Department of Botany, North Orissa University, Baripada, India. He has also worked as Assistant professor at P.G. Department of Biochemistry, MPC Autonomous College, Baripada. His current research interest includes green synthesis of metal nanoparticles and its potential biomedical application. He has completed his masters in Biotechnology from North Orissa University; Baripada in 2010. He is gold medalist in both Bachelors and Master’s Degree. He successfully completed the BCIL industrial training programme on Plant Tissue Culture sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. He has also visited KU Leuven, Belgium as Visiting Researcher to work on Medicinal plants and its anti-infective and wound healing activity. He has more than six years of post-M.Sc. research experience on natural products chemistry and metal nano-particles synthesis. He has published 12 research papers and 3 review papers in peer reviewed SCI indexed journals of international and national reputes with impact factor like BMC Plant Biology, Frontiers in Plant Science, Molecules, IET Nano biotechnology, Springer publications and British Biotechnology Journals. He has also contributed 8 book chapters and written many popular science articles in the national science magazines. Besides, he has presented his research work as poster and oral presentations in more than 20 international and national conferences.
