Biography

Dr. RAVICHANDRAN VEERASAMY is Professor and Head, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Unit at Faculty of Pharmacy, AIMST University, Malaysia. He holds Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Supervisor: Prof. Dr. R. K. Agrawal) and M.Pharm degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Dr. H. S. Gour (Sagar, India) University (2009). Dr. Ravichandran is having 18 Years of research and teaching experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis. His area of expertise includes: Drug design, synthesis and pharmacological screening of chemical derivatives and prodrugs, 2D and 3D QSAR studies, Pharmacophore modeling, Development of new analytical techniques for pharmaceuticals, Phytochemical and pharmacological screening of medicinal plants, Standardization of herbal formulations, NDDS, and Green synthesis of metal nanoparticles and their biological and environmental application. He is an adjudicator for PhD theses for many Indian Universities. He is an active member in various professional bodies. He is having 113 research articles and 10 review articles in his credit. He is Associate editor for 3 journals, Advisory board member for 4 journals, Editorial board member for 17 journals and Reviewer for 90 reputed journals (Publishers: Elsevier, Bentham Science, Informa Health Care, Willey Inter Science, Willey Online, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Royal Society of Chemistry, American Chemical Society, Hindawi). He is recipient of many internal and external research grants, and many awards from different organizations.
