Biography

Dr. Ghulam Md Ashraf was born and brought in Gaya, Bihar, India. Dr. Ashraf pursued his primary studies from the schools St. Paul, Loyala Convent, and Gyan Bharti Residential Complex in Gaya. Dr. Ashraf earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD Degree from Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Life Sciences, Aligarh Muslim University, India. After receiving his PhD degree in 2010, Dr. Ashraf worked as Lecturer in Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University, Lucknow, U.P., India till Jan 2012. Dr. Ashraf then joined King Fahd Medical Research Center, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as Assistant Professor in Jan 2012. Over the next five years, he published over 100 articles in books and journals of international repute, and was awarded promotion as Associate Professor in October 2017. His current research interest covers proteomics, neurology, nanotechnology and cancer. Dr. Ashraf is involved in editorial capacity in many internationally reputed journals like Nature-Scientific Reports, Protein & Peptide Letters and Journal of Proteomics


Research Interest

Dr. Ghulam Md Ashraf currently focuses on investigating the expression of proteins in neurological disorders. Dr. Ashraf is also interested in exploring the inherent connection of neurological disorders with other chronic diseases like cancer and diabetes, using proteomics.
