Dr. Selvaa Kumar C is an Associate Professor at D.Y. Patil University, Navi Mumbai. He completed his post-graduation from Kamaraj University in Zoology from Madurai. In 2003, he received his masterís degree in Bioinformatics from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He earned his doctorate in Bioinformatics from the same university in 2016. He joined School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (D.Y. Patil University), Navi Mumbai in 2003 as a Lecturer in Bioinformatics Division. In 2009, he became the Assistant Professor. His research is focused on protein modelling, protein-protein and protein-ligand docking, short peptide designing and molecular simulation. Dr. Selvaa has published papers in Elsevier, Bentham, Wiley and PLOS ONE. Dr. Selvaa has actively carried out research and consulting activities in the areas of homology modelling, short peptide designing (against gp120,Follicle stimulating hormone receptor), sequence analysis, docking and molecular simulation.
Dr. Selvaa Kumar C Research interests are In silico based analysis of microtubules and their associated proteins.
