Dr. Audrius Gegeckas is an Assistant Professor in the department of Microbiology and Biotechnology at Life Sciences Center of Vilnius University, Lithuania. Additionally, he is a head of Research and Development at biotech company related with fermentation up-scale technologies. He has complete his PhD in Biomedical science (particularly, molecular microbiology and biotechnology). During this time, he became interested in exploring the new enzymes for industrial, green and red biotechnology, in developing next generation peptidases for renewable waste biodegradation to value-added products, and in discovering potential ways for fused enzymes technologies.
Dr. Audrius Gegeckas Research interests are Molecular microbiology, biotechnology, proteomics, systems and synthetic biology, peptidomics, metabolic engineering, enzyme technologies.
