Dr. Lee Lai Kuan who received her PhD in Nutrition, is a lecturer at Food Technology Program, School of Industrial Technology, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her research interest is human nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, food security and nutrigenomic. She is supervising 7 postgraduate students and 5 final year research projects. For the past five years, she has published more than 20 articles in ISI indexed journals. She serves as the editorial board members of SCIREA Journal of Health and Annals of Nutrition and Food Science. Lee was the recipient of the Universiti Sains Malaysia Persada Kencana Award for excellent achievement in Journal publication category in 2014, and the winner of Best PhD Research Award for Nutrition Society of Malaysia in the year of 2013. She is honored to be the Scientific Advisory Board Member, Technical Committee, Review Committee and Invited Speakers in several international conferences and scientific seminars. Lee is the researcher in two Long Term Research Grants and a Fundamental Research Grant Schemes. She has conducted several research skills workshops nationally. Her current medical and industrial research partners are EPAX AS (Norway), Agricultural Research Center, and Sime Darby Group.
