Dr. James Kean is a lecturer and Convenor of Psychology at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Kean has also recently been consigned as Convenor of Psychology of the Swinburne University campus in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has over ten years experience in child and adolescent research in a number of clinical populations including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), down syndrome, as well as a decade of experience in adult and paediatric sleep and respiratory disorders. He has presented his research at a number of international conferences around the world from New York to Auckland, Mumbai, New Orleans, San Diego and Queenstown, as well as around Australia. He has published his research in several prominent journals and has ongoing contributions in the online research community. Dr. Kean currently sits on the board of a number of journals and has substantial experience in the peer-review process.
James D Kean Research interest are in complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) and their safe and efficacious in treating Sub-Clinical ADHD (SCADHD). He hopes to improve outcomes in cognition, mood, attention, and behaviour in children struggling in the school setting. He also looks to conduct further research in child and adolescent sleep and respiratory disorders.
