Dr. Luiza Abrahao Frank is a lecturer at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) where she also occupies a post-doctoral position in the Laboratory of Nanotechnology. She has a PhD and master both from UFRGS with a visiting period at the Università Degli Studi di Pavia, Italy. Her research is on pharmaceutical nanotechnology and nanostructured systems for the production of drugs and cosmetics. She has expertise in the development of mucoadhesive nanotechnological formulations for cancer treatment in different types of mucosa.
