Dr. Lianguo CHEN received his bachelor degree from Ocean University of China, majoring in Aquaculture. Then he pursed the master degree of Environmental Toxicology at Institute of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, during which period he mainly worked to elicit the toxicological mechanisms of persistent organic pollutants (e.g., PBDEs) using a battery of molecular methods. After graduation, Dr. CHEN went to Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for his PhD degree on Marine Environmental Science. At that time, he was awarded the Research Excellence Award to acknowledge his research outputs on the risk assessment of antifouling compounds. Now, he is recruited by the State Key Laboratory in Marine Pollution of City University of Hong Kong to assess the hazardous effects of emerging environmental pollutants.
