Dr. Saheem Ahmad received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Medical Sciences, AMU, Aligarh. He worked as a Post doctoral Fellow in the same department thereafter he joined the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center, Loyola University of Chicago, USA. Subsequently, he started his independent research group at Integral University, Lucknow, where currently he is working as an Associate Professor. The research of Dr. Ahmad is focused on Glycation Biology and Metabolic Disorders. He has more than 60 research publications to his credit in journals of international repute. His zest and zeal to bring Biotechnology at the forefront of research agenda of the University has resulted in the form of getting a big grant from DBT, Govt. of India and RMES, Russia federation. Currently, he is sitting on three major research grants, including two young scientist project grants. Recently, Dr. Ahmad has also organized two International conferences on ‘Biotechnological Advancements in Free Radical Biology and Medicine’ and one Indo-Russian meet. He is also an Editor of the journals like, ‘Frontiers in Biosciences’, Journal of Immune Research, and Journal of Glycomics and Proteomics. He also guest edited Special issue in journals of repute viz., ‘Frontier in Biosciences’ and ‘Seminars in Cancer Biology’.
Dr. Ahmad is involved in the development and validation of natural/organic products of daily use as cosmaceuticals which are currently in the initial stage of therapy for Glycation, Diabetes, and Ageing.
