Dr. Camillo Morea is graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bari, Italy where he also attended medical residence in Dentistry. After he moved to the University of Berne where he completed MS program in Periodontology, and started researching in dental radiology in the field of subtraction radiography. He has been awarded, among others, with the Kodak young Investigator prize. His research program continued at the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in the field of subtraction radiography achieving the PhD title. At the same University, since 2004 he researched extensively in the area of orthodontic mini-implants, achieving his post-doctoral title. He has lectured in Brazil and abroad, in several countries, on the research he has conducted over the years. He is also member of the Brazilian Periodontics Society, Sao Paulo’s Orthodontics Society a Brazilian Orthodontic Society. He serves as peer-reviewer in several dental journals. He has been teaching Periodontics at the University of Mogi das Cruzes (UBC) and Comprehensive Dentistry at the University Ibirapuera. Dr. Morea has also authored or co-authored several peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and book chapters. Actually he lectures at the Foundation for Scientific Development of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil as professor of orthodontic mini-implants.
