Dr. Edmund Cheung So was born in Hong Kong . He received his MD degree from Taipei Medical University in 1985 and completed his resident training in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (Taipei) from 1985 to 1989. In 1992, he worked as a clinical fellow in the multi-disciplinary pain center, University of Washington, Seattle, U.S.A. He then served in the department of anesthesia in Chi Mei Medical Center until 2012. In 2010, he received a PhD degree from the Institute of Basic Medical Science, College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University. In January 2013, he joined China Medical University and is now the chief of Anesthesia & Medical Research Department in China Medical University-An Nan Hospital. Professor So was the past president of Taiwan Association of Anesthesia Safety and executive committee member of Taiwan Society of Intravenous Anesthesia and Taiwan Society of Cardiac Anesthesia. He is visiting professor both in Shangdon University and Taishan Medical University, China. His publications could be found both in clinical and basic medical journals.
