Biography

Dr. Arvind Kumar Goyal obtained M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bangalore University and Ph.D. in Bamboo Technology from the University of North Bengal, Siliguri, India. He is life member of The Indian Academy of Wood Science. He is actively engaged in research and has published over 50 articles in National and International journal of repute, besides he has also participated and presented papers in many National and International conferences. He is associated with many esteemed journals as member of the Editorial board. Currently, he is serving as Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Head, Centre for Bamboo Studies, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, India and involved in teaching and research related to Bamboo. His area of research includes Molecular diversity of plants, Plant Tissue Culture, Pharmacology, Ethnopharmacology, Phytochemistry, Bioinformatics etc. Mainy focused on Bamboo research, he also deals with wild edible plants of this region.
