Biography

Laura Hudson Reichenberg is an Assistant Professor of Biology in the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at Pfeiffer University where she teaches, directs a STEM outreach project, and mentors undergraduate research. She received a Bachelor’s of Science with a Concentration in Biotechnology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Masters of Science from the Plant Science department at The University of Tennessee. Went on to receive her PhD from The Department of Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University. After graduating she obtained a Postdoctoral fellowship at Soymed Inc. and eventually moved up the ranks to Senior Research Scientist where her worked focused on focused on the development and validation of soybean seed-based therapeutics that can be used to treat, prevent, cure, and diagnose human disease. She has published in multiple peer reviewed journals as well as book chapters during her career.

Dr. Laura C Hudson Reichenberg,s Research interests are in the development of soy base drugs and their effectiveness in treating disease.
