Dr. Zhiwei Liu is Senior Toxicologist and Team Leader at FMC Corporation. He is an expert in pesticide toxicology & regulatory toxicology, toxicokinetics and human health risk assessment. He earned a Ph.D. degree in Occupational and Environmental Health from Fudan University, China and did his post-doctoral fellowship in heavy metal toxicology and pharmacokinetics in the United States. In the last 9 years, he is working on new agrochemical discovery & development as well as product renewal registration with responsibilities including but not limited to conducting toxicology studies (acute, genotoxicity, subchronic, chronic/oncogenicity, reproduction, prenatal development, endocrine disruption and mode of action studies) and writing summaries and waivers/position papers. His contribution to this field includes more than 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He serves as editorial board member of Toxicology Mechanisms & Method, and a reviewer for Toxicology Letter, Human & Experiment Toxicology, Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology, Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, Journal of Pest Management Science and Expert Opinion on Drug Metabolism and Toxicology.

Dr. Zhiwei Liu's Research interests are Pesticide toxicology, pesticide regulatory toxicology, toxicokinetics, heavy metal toxicology and human health risk assessment.
