Dr. Yun Zhang is a Scientist at Biology Institute, Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), a scientific research institution focusing on drug screening and biotechnology. She is a pharmacologist and toxicologist with a PhD in pharmacy. She mainly engaged in the research of drug screening and drug molecular toxicology. She has a good experience in screening and evaluating the activities of compounds using zebrafish models, mainly including anti-angiogenic activity, pro-angiogenic activity, anti-tumor metastasis activity (transplanted cancer model), organ protection activity (protecting cardiac, renal and liver), anti-apoptosis activity, and assay of acute toxicity, developmental toxicity, cardiotoxicity and hepatotoxicity. Her dissertation was focused on the acute toxicity, developmental toxicity and hepatotoxicity of drugs. She has published her research work in various peer reviewed journals. And she has applied for 18 patents, of which 6 were authorized.

Dr. Yun Zhang' Main research directions: one is to study the drug activity screening and drug action mechanism, and to carry out the drug evaluation work. The second is to study the toxicity, toxic mechanism and toxic components of drugs.
