Dr. Prateek is currently working as General Anaesthesiologist at prestigious Dr. S.N. Medical college in the city of Jodhpur in the north western region of India. He holds M.D. degree in Anaesthesiology and critical care from Rajasthan University of Health sciences. He is highly interested in the role of anaesthesiologist as a perioperative physician instead of limiting the knowledge to intraoperative period. He got his M.B.B.S. from R.N.T. Medical college followed by M.D. in the the field of Anaesthesiology. His field of interests include perioperative pain alleviation, regional anaesthesia and critical care alongwith specific focus on medical ethics and consent. He has attended various conferences at state and national level where he has presented papers and posters on topics pertaining to regional anaesthesia. He has also published a paper on venous thromboembolism in IJCCM in 2017. He has also written about the importance of consent while using patients pictures in Indian journal of medical ethics. A few more of his compositions are about to be published relating to regional and general anesthesia in various journals. He has been continuously working on regional anaesthetic techniques to improve the ways of alleviating patient’s pain. He has also attended different workshops, seminars and lectures on various topics, related both to anaesthesia and critical care including ventilator management. He is an active member of Indian society of anaesthesiology. He has attended various conferences at state and national level where he has presented papers and posters on topics pertaining to regional anaesthesia.
