Biography

Gaurav Bedse is currently working in Department of Psychiatry, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville USA. He pursued master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Mohali, India. He completed his Ph.D in Pharmacology and Toxicology from University of Rome La Sapienza, Rome, Italy. His current goal of research is to study the role of the endocannabinoid system in the regulation of stress, emotional and addiction behavior. By understanding the molecular, structural, and physiological adaptations in endocannabinoid signaling that occur in response to stress and in addiction, he hope to uncover novel bio-markers and pharmacological targets for drug development. Dr. Bedse is a recipient of “ NARSAD Young Investigator award from Brain and Behavioral Research Foundation”, International PhD fellowship from Sapienza University” and various fellowships from Government of India during his career. Dr. Bedse has been invited to present his research work to the various international conference including International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), Gordon Research Conference (GRC), etc. He is member of reviewer board of various journals like Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, Current Alzheimer Research, Frontiers in Neuroscience, Frontiers in Psychiatry, Frontiers in Neurology and Behavioral Brain Research, Frontiers in Pharmacology, Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology, Neurochemical Research and Experimental Pharmacology and Drug Discovery.
