Ellen Karla Nobre dos Santos-Lima earned a bachelor's degree in Dentistry from the Federal University of Alagoas, Brazil (2005). She specialized in Human Genetics and Applied Molecular Biology at Nilton Lins University, Brazil (2008), where she received a master's degree in Urban Biology with emphasis in Molecular Biology (2010). She specialized in Microbiology and she earned a doctoral degree in Immunology from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil (2018). She is a member of the Immunoperio research group in the Laboratory of Immunology and Molecular Biology of Institute of Health Sciences, Federal University of Bahia; of the Group for Studies in Basic Sciences Applied to Dentistry (NECBAO) of the Bahian School of Medicine and Public Health, Brazil; and of the Center for Research, Integrated Practice and Multidisciplinary Investigation (NUPPIIM) of the State University of Feira de Santana, Brazil.
