Dr. M A Garcia-Amado is PhD in Biological Sciences from Simón Bolívar University. Currently, is researcher in Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Cientificas (IVIC), Director of the Latin American Center for Biological Sciences and Venezuela Ambassador of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). She had 51 scientific publications. Professor and sub-coordinator of the IVIC Biochemistry post-grade. Tutor and evaluator of undergraduate and postgraduate theses in the area of microbiology, biochemical and physiology.
Dr. Maria Alexandra Garcia-Amado research interests is in Characterization of the bacterial community of the digestive tract of wild animals and their routes of transmission through water.
