Biography

Dr. Zahid Manzoor is working as Assistant Professor and Head of Department Pharmacology & Toxicology, Faculty of Bio-Sciences, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bahawalpur–Pakistan. Dr. Manzoor has more than 08 years of teaching, administrative and research experience to his credit. His area of research include Immuno-pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Pharmacology and Ethnopharmacology. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M) and M. Phil with distinction (2nd Position) from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad–Pakistan. He earned his Doctorate in the year 2016 from Al-Nafees Medical College, Isra University, Islamabad. During his Doctorate, he investigated the pharmacokinetic behavior of a novel antibiotic danofloxacin in the domestic ruminant species and applied the advanced PK/PD Modeling & Simulation approach to rationalize the dosage regimen. He played leading role to generate PK profile of danofloxacin in domestic animals in Pakistan. He also focused the pharmacological aspect of different plants. After completion of his education, he served as “Assistant Professor” at the well reputed King Edward Medical University, Lahore-Pakistan. Dr. Manzoor possess state-of-the-art approaches to study biological mechanisms that lead to potential targets for the treatment of cancer, infectious and neurological diseases and toxicological effects. He has published 35 research articles in National and International journals. His research interest areas are Ethno-pharmacology with special emphasis on Clinical Pharmacology, PK/PD Modeling & Integration, to rationalize the antibiotics. In his area of interest, he has also completed one research project of Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan.

Dr. Zahid Manzoor research interests are Immuno-pharmacology, harmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic, Molecular Pharmacology, Ethno-pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacology, PK-PD modeling and integration of antibiotics, Toxicology.
