Associate Professor Dr. Ilea Aranka from Department of Oral Rehabilitation, Oral Health and Dental Office Management, Faculty of Dentistry, University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Haţieganu" Cluj-Napoca was graduated the Faculty of Medicine (1996) and Faculty of Dentistry (2000). She has two specialities: dento-alveolar surgery and pediatric neurology. She has conducted research about how the poor oral health has negative repercussions on general health and how the chronic inflammation of the oral cavity can cause metabolic imbalances and even functional perturbation in various organs. Also, she studied the correlations between general disease and dental disorders; oral health in patients with comorbidities; skull base traumatology; the management of patients with neurological disorders in dental office; cell cultures and the role of stem cells in tissue engineering.
