Dr. Nkululeko Nyangiwe is a Senior Livestock Researcher at Döhne Agricultural Development Institute in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. He holds a PhD in Parasitology, from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, in 2017. He has published over 30 manuscripts on different aspect of tick research. He has presented in national and international audiences for various Conference proceedings. He is also supervising postgraduate students conducting research on animal science and veterinary parasitology in different academic institutions of South Africa. His scientific results have been recognised by South African Society of Animal Science and in 2017, he was awarded a Bronze Medal for the meritorious PhD study, on the 50th SASAS Congress held in Boardwalk, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape Province. Dr Nyangiwe has been involved in numerous national and international collaborations within South Africa, other African countries and Scotland.
Dr. Nkululeko Nyangiwe main research interests are in epidemiology of parasitic arthropods, ecology and control of tick-borne diseases.
