Dr. Inshah Din is a research scholar at Govt. Medical college, Srinagar, India . She completed her M.S. in Clinical Biochemistry and M.Phil. and Ph.D in Biochemistry at University of Kashmir. She worked as Junior Research fellow at prestigious Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, India. Ms Inshah Din has sound academic credentials and has published several research articles and book chapters with International publishing houses. She has edited and authored several books (in press) with International publication houses. Her research interests are mostly clinical. In her M. Phil and PhD programme, she worked towards evaluating a possible connection between diabetes development via adipokine and vitamin D axis and polymorphism of UCP2 association with diabetes development in North Indian population.
Dr. Inshah Din has worked towards understanding the causal factors of diabetes development in North Indian population. She studied the polymorphism of UCP2 gene and its correlation to the development of diabetes in Kashmiri population. Her further research interests are to understand the development of metabolic disorders as an outcome of toxicity of food ingredients and food practices.
