Biography

Mr. Yam Nath Paudel is a Ph.D. researcher at Neuropharmacology Research Laboratory, Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia. He obtained a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science at Kathmandu University, Nepal, and a Master of Pharmacy with a specialization in Pharmacology at Jamia Hamdard University, India. His Ph.D. research focuses on investigating HMGB1 protein as a therapeutic target against epilepsy-induced cognitive decline using the zebrafish model. He is an active member of the International Society of Neurochemistry (ISN), American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Toxicology, Malaysian society of Neuroscience. He has been awarded prestigious travel grants by ISN, IBRO.


Research Interest

Mr. Paudel is interested in several research areas including Neurodegenerative disorders, Epilepsy, Animal modeling, Neuroinflammation, and HMGB1 mediated pathologies.
