Biography

Dr. Sonil Nanda is a Research Associate at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biology from York University, Canada. Dr. Nanda leads many interdisciplinary research projects on clean energy, multifunctional materials, a sustainable environment, and public health. He is the Editor of books entitled “New Dimensions in Production and Utilization of Hydrogen” (Elsevier), “Fuel Processing and Energy Utilization” (CRC Press), “Recent Advancements in Biofuels and Bioenergy Utilization” (Springer Nature), “Biorefinery of Alternative Resources: Targeting Green Fuels and Platform Chemicals” (Springer Nature), and “Biotechnology for Sustainable Energy and Products” (I.K. International Publishing House Ltd.).


Research Interest

Dr. Sonil Nanda’s research areas are in biofuels, biochemicals and biomaterials, gasification, pyrolysis, carbonization, torrefaction, and fermentation. His parallel interests are in hydrothermal flames for hazardous waste remediation, waste-to-energy conversion, green catalysis, biochar functionalization, bioremediation, and carbon sequestration.
