Dr. Hakikulla Shah is a faculty of Analytical Chemistry in the Department of Biological Sciences and Chemistry at the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Nizwa, Oman. Dr. Shah has earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2014 from Sultan Qaboos University, Oman following his M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Pune, India. He was the British Council Research fellow at the University of Bath, UK. Dr. Shah is a Researcher, Academician, and Administrator with International exposure from the UK, Middle East, and Asia with 9 Yrs. of Post-Graduate Teaching & research experience in Oman at University in the field of organic, organometallic chemistry, Food science and technology, Medicinal chemistry, and Nano-materials. Dr. Shah also has Industrial Research Experience as a Research Scientist at renowned international pharmaceutical companies in India. In his short career to date, Dr. Shah has published several research articles/review articles/book chapters. He is an active reviewer and editorial board member for various chemistry journals.

Dr. Shah is a young researcher in the field of analytics of functional organic, organometallic compounds, spectroscopy, and electrochemical and chromatography analysis of various functional compounds. His present research focuses on medicinal chemistry utilizing green solvent for searching bioactive compounds of the type polyphenols with pro/antioxidant activity to use as alternatives to treat human chronic diseases.
