Dr. Belma Pehlivanović is currently a Teaching and Research Assistant in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. She obtained a Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Science at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo. She earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Sarajevo. She has been awarded BLOEMENDAL Travel Award by Radboud Institute for Molecular Life Sciences in 2019; FEBS Young Scientists' Forum (YSF) 2017 Grant Award and award scholarship by International Pharmaceutical Federation, Foundation for Education and Research in 2016. She is a member of the following organizations: International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, and Pharmaceutical Chamber of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dr. Belma Pehlivanović is interested fields of research are preclinical pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, and pharmacotherapy. Her present research focuses on searching for bioactive plant-derived compounds type polyphenols with hypolipemic properties that can replace synthetic statin therapy.
