Biography

Dr. Suhas K. S. is presently a doctoral research scholar in the Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology at ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh, India). He completed his graduation in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry from Veterinary College, Bangalore in 2015. He obtained a Master’s degree in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) in 2017. He is a recipient of ICAR-JRF (Veterinary Science) and ICMR-JRF (Life Science) awards during his tenure as a research scholar. He has qualified for Assistant Professorship by clearing National Eligibility Tests conducted by the UGC and ICAR (Government of India). He has investigated the effect of a high-fat diet on oxytocin receptor regulation in advanced pregnant mouse uterus during his research work in 2017. He is presently working on the evaluation of male reproductive toxicity of agrochemicals in rats.


Research Interest

Dr. Suhas’ research interest includes toxicological studies (reproductive toxicology/ chemical toxicities/ plant toxins/ mycotoxins/ zootoxins), smooth muscle pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, chemotherapy, drug-receptor interactions, and molecular pharmacology.
