Biography

Dr. Sukhwinder Lakhman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Science, American University of Health Sciences, Signal Hill, Ca USA. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical and Education, a Master’s in Science, and Master’s in Philosophy (M. Phil) in Neurosciences, and finally Ph. D. in Neuropharmacology /Neurochemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India. He is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP). He was also a member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS). Furthermore, he was a member of the Metabolomics Society. He is also a graduate of the WASCUC leadership Academy Cohort XI.


Research Interest

Dr. Sukhwinder Lakhman has diverse interests in the fields of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmacogenomics. His present research focuses on pharmacogenomics of the drug-metabolizing enzymes and the cannabinoid interactions with cytochrome P450 and its role in treatment failure.
