Since 2007, I have been dedicated to the care and welfare of children with health problems and their families through my work in the Pediatric Oncohaematology Unit at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona (Spain). From 2011 to 2021, I've had worked as an Associate Professor in the Nursing Department of the Medicine Faculty at UAB, where I've been responsible for the creation, coordination, and teaching of the 4th Grade Mention of Childhood and Health. I am especially thrilled to have created the Master of Nursing in Pediatric Oncology, the first of its kind in Spanish, with the supporting science of the Spanish Society of Oncological Nursing (SEEO). I am a Pediatric Nurse Specialist and MSc on nursing based on evidence and research (European University Miguel de Cervantes) and Official Master of Science in Nursing (University of Almeria). I have had training on Advanced computer skills, Good Clinical Practice Certification, and I am continuously updating myself in healthcare, teaching, and research methodology. I am captivated by the use of new technologies in inpatient care, such as the Internet of Things (IoT). These technologies have the potential to transform the health and care system and its interactions with patients 24/7, 365 days a year. With a constant thirst for expanding my knowledge, I have studied a Master in eHealth: Technology and Health care Management. With a natural passion and dedication to healthcare, I am always looking for new ways of enhancing pediatric patient’s experiences and their families.
