Dr. Ashis Kumar Saha has been working as Professor and Head of the Department of General medicine in MGM Medical College & LSK Hospital, Kishanganj, Bihar, India. He published more than 50 original and many review articles in the last ten years in different indexed National and International Journals, He has published “Updates in dengue fever” by Lambert Publishing, Germany one book “Clinical Methods and interpretations” by Jaypee Brothers, Manual of Clinical Medicine under CBS Publication and “Fatty liver Disease, a Silent Killer of Human Being” by Cambridge Scholar Publishing. He is Associate Editor of two International and two National journals, editor of two monograms under the Indian College of Physicians. He is a reviewer of more than 12 International and National Journals. He received Honorary Ph.D. and DSc. from two International Societies, “Life-Time Achievement” from two international Societies, and Ambassador and member of “ASIAN COUNCIL OF SCIENTIFIC EDITORS” in the year 2016. He has been awarded FICP (India), FACP (USA), and FRCP (Edinburgh) in 2015 and FRCP (Glasgow) in 2016 and become a fellow of “The Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain & Ireland. Recently he received “Best citizen of India” by International Publishing House and International Exemplary Research and Performance award “Excellence in Medicine from in 2018. He is a Member of API for more than 15 years and contributed to different activities in this Organization. In API West Bengal Branch he was appointed in different posts in the Executive committee, associate editor of “Bengal Physicians Journal for last 7 years and contributed in different activities on this Organization. He also received a certificate “Introduction to cancer biology” from John Hoffkin Institute. Now he has been appointed as Vice-President of Association of Physicians of India, West Bengal Branch for the session of 2020-2022. From this year for the next 3 years, I have been elected as a council member of the Indian College of Physicians.
Professor Ashis Kumar Saha's research interests are in fields of all branches of Medicine but especially in the branch of gastroenterology.
