Dr. Mehdi Raissy received Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (2002) and then PhD in Aquatic Animal Health (2006) from the IAU, Science and Research Branch, Tehran, Iran. Since then he has been working as Assistant Professor at IAU, Shahrekord. In recent years, he has been involved in Research, in the field of Epidemiology of fish diseases, especially rainbow trout, mostly using molecular methods such as PCR and similar techniques. He is currently working as a faculty member at IAU, Shahrekord. He teaches Veterinary Medicine and Fishery. He also works in the scientific areas at Fishery Research Center during the week.
His main interest lies majorly in the Zoonotic diseases of fish, Antibiotic resistance pattern of some bacterial strains isolated from fish based on antibiotic resistance genes.
