Dr. Zeeshan Qamar obtained degree of Bachelor in Dental Surgery from Baqai University, Karachi, Pakistan in 2009. After graduation he went on to United Kingdom for his post-graduation in Basic Dental Sciences. He spent his time on latest caries detection techniques with their efficiency respectively. During his post-graduation he worked on a masterís research project which included extensive use of scanning micro-radiography, x-ray diffraction, quartz crystal microbalance dissipation and fourier transformer infrared spectroscopy. He determined the efficacy of Japanese traditional food product in inhibiting the dissolution of dental enamel and HAp pellets. He was awarded degree of Master of Science in Oral Biology (2012) from Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom. After returning to his home land he started his academic career and has been constantly involved in teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate dental students at College of Dentistry, Ziauddin University as Head of the Department of Oral Biology and Co-ordinator of Postgraduate studies being an Assistant Professor. He has published several research papers in nation and international journals. Dr. Zeeshan is a member of International Association of Dental Research, Pakistan Dental Association and Institute of Advanced Dental Sciences and Research. Currently he is a PhD Scholar at Faculty of Dentistry University of Malaya, Kuala lumpur, Malaysia doing an extensive research in developing a mouthrinse having a potential to inhibit and to remineralize the early carious/incipient lesions.
