Dr. Florian Lang studied Medicine in Munich and Glasgow and holds a Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Munich. Since 1992 he is professor and chairman of the Department of Physiology of the University of Tübingen. He has served as research fellow, professor, visiting professor and/or honorary professor at the University of Innsbruck, Mayo Clinic, Yale University, University of Napoli, Kitisato University School of Medicine, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine and Harbin Medical University. He holds an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Heraklion. He is coauthor and editor of textbooks on Physiology and Pathophysiology, and editor of an Encyclopedia on Molecular Mechanisms of Disease. He is editor and editorial Board member of several scientific journals.
