Dr. Subrata Deb is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biopharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy at Roosevelt University (IL, USA). He received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from The University of British Columbia (BC, Canada) and subsequently completed his postdoctoral fellowship from The Vancouver Prostate Centre, a National Centre of Excellence. His areas of research expertise include cytochrome P450-mediated metabolism of endobiotics (e.g. vitamin D, androgens) and xenobiotics (e.g. drugs, toxicants), metabolic interactions, vitamin D metabolism, cancer chemoprevention, development of prostate cancer therapeutics. He has published 14 peer-reviewed articles in reputed journals, presented more than 40 conference abstracts and currently serves as an ad-hoc peer reviewer for several well-known journals including Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, Expert Opinion on Drug Metabolism and Toxicology, and Biopharmaceutics and Drug Disposition.
