Dr. Sanja Milutinović-Smiljanić (M.D., Ph.D., Assistant Professor) was born in Belgrade (Serbia) in 1973. After receiving her M.D. from Faculty of Medicine University of Belgrade and internship in University Clinical Center Zvezdara in Belgrade, she was worked as Research Assistant at the Faculty of Medicine University of Belgrade (2001-2002). In 2003 Dr Milutinović-Smiljanić spent a year at Postdoctoral position at the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. She participated in The Welcome Trust Project and preformed experiments in Bristol and in Belgrade (2004-2007). In 2007 Dr Milutinović-Smiljanić completed her Postgraduate program and obtained her PhD degree at the Faculty of Medicine University of Belgrade. At present, Dr Milutinović-Smiljanić works as an Assistant professor at the Faculty of Dentistry University in Belgrade. So far Dr Milutinović-Smiljanić has published 23 articles including 10 in reputed SCI-indexed journals and one monograph.
Present research interest is split in two fields: neuroendocrine control of cardiovascular short-term variabilities with emphasis on central vasopressin and its receptors and on regeneration of the delicate tissues of the cranio-maxillofacial skeleton.
