Biography

Dr. Kunjbihari Sulakhiya is currently working as Assistant Professor of Ethanopharmacology at Centre for Excellence, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Amarkantak, India. He has published 11 research papers and 1 review article in reputed peer reviewed international and national journals, and also contributed 1 book chapter. He has presented various research papers at national and international conferences. He served as editorial member and reviewer for various reputed journals. His research area of interest is animal model development and pre‑clinical research in the field of neuropharmacology. He has got various research fellowships such as Summer Research Fellowship in IISc Bangalore from Indian Academy of Sciences, NIPER fellowship to pursue MS and PhD from Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizer, Government of India, IBRO fellowship. He has earned MS and PhD degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from National institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Guwahati, India.


Research Interest

Dr. Kunjbihari Sulakhiya research interest is Neuro-psychopharmacology especially anxiety, depression, Alzheimer’s disease and Autism spectrum disorders. He also interested in studying the signaling pathways involve in these diseases such as inflammation, oxidative stress, neurogenesis, synaptic plasticity etc. Now, he interested to explore out the neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant and antioxidant potential of medicinal and aromatic plants.
