Dr. Mingfeng Cao is a Postdoctoral Researcher Associate in Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and NSF Center for Biorenewable Chemicals (CBiRC), Iowa State University (USA). He got his Ph.D. degree on Microbiology and Bioengineering from Nankai University (China) in 2011, and then worked as an Assistant Researcher in Tianjin Institute of Industrial Biotechnology, Chinese Acadamy of Sciences (2011.7-2013.2). In 2013, Dr. Cao joined Prof. Zengyi Shao's yeast research group in Iowa State University. His current project focuses on the development of non-conventional yeasts genetic toolkits to produce valuable chemicals using synthetic biological methods. Dr. Cao is now served as the editorial board members of Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology and Journal of Microbiology, Biotechnology and Food Sciences; and he is also volunteered as peer-viewed journals, like Scientific Reports, Bioresource Technology, Chemical Engineering Journal, Microbial Cell Factories, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, Microbial Biotechnology, BioTechniques, Microbiological Research, Journal of Applied Microbiology, Journal of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology, Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, Enzyme and Microbial Technology, et al.
