Mr. Christos Magopoulos is the Associate Clinical Director of the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department at 424 Military Hospital – Thessaloniki Greece. He is a fully trained and accredited Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Honorary Consultant at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust. He has also admitting rights as Consultant to the Euromedica General Hospital and Euromedica Kianous Stavros Hospital - Thessaloniki Greece.
Mr. Magopoulos received his post graduate training at General Hospital G. Papanikolaou in Greece and completed an one year fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery at Northwick Park Hospital London UK. He is awarded a PhD thesis at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece with the title: ‘Study of chemokine receptors’ and lymphangiogenic factors’ expression in oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma and investigation of their relationship with metastatic disease of the neck’. He is registered with General Medical Council (GMC) UK, and Medical and Dental Council Thessaloniki Greece as Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Mr. Magopoulos qualified in Medicine and Dentistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Greece and holds a graduation degree in Greek Army Officers Corps School of Thessaloniki. He has performed, taught and supervised well over 3000 procedures regarding all spectrum of his specialty emphasizing in Orthognathic Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, Cranio-maxillofacial and Orbital Trauma. He also performed thousands of oral surgical procedures for impacted wisdom teeth, unerupted teeth and dental implants. He has taken part as an author in several clinical papers and over 50 lectures at Greek, European and World congresses.
His research interest is in head and neck cancer and orthognathic surgery.
