Dr. Guy-Armel BOUNDA’s early career started by earning M.Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy followed by a Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy with a strong emphasis in clinical pharmacology and toxicology from China Pharmaceutical University, in 2015 as his Ph.D. thesis is entitled: “Herbal Medicines and Liver Damage: Mechanism of Hepatotoxicity induced by Rhein; a Polygonum multiflorum bioactive component”. His major catalyst turning point in his career was in 2010, when he co-ran an in-patient and out-patient anticoagulation clinic at the Affiliated Drum Tower Hospital of Nanjing University Medical School, as a Clinical Pharmacist trainee.
During his doctoral studies, he had several successes, awards and honors including International Forum Student Scholarship for the 2014 and 2015 International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare sponsored by the International of Healthcare Improvement (IHI) and British Medical Journal (BMJ), Member of the Month of the American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), Finalist of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Best students, resident and Fellow Poster Award at the 2015 Virtual Poster Symposium in May 18-19. He is a member of various scientific societies worldwide such as: American College of Clinical Pharmacology (ACCP), European Society of Clinical Pharmacy (ESCP), American Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT), International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP), International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP).
Currently he serves as an editor/reviewer for several renowned international peer-reviewed Journals and Professional Scientific society including Bulletin of the World Health Organization, BWHO (Switzerland); Phytotherapy Research, PTR (UK); European Journal of Hospital Pharmacy, EJHP (UK); Journal of Pharmacy Practice and Research, JPPR (Australia); Archives of Pharmacy Practice, APP (India); Journal of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, JPPS (Canada); and Medjaden Bioscience Limited (Hong Kong). He also published several papers in renowned peer-reviewed journals and actively participated by oral and poster presentations at many national and international conferences, seminars symposiums and forums, especially on clinical therapeutics, pre-clinical pharmacology and toxicology.
As a young scientist and clinical pharmacist, he is working currently at SINOMEDICA CO., LTD (Nanjing, China) as a Biomedical advisor and Drug Expert. Meanwhile, in the sideline as a preceptor he offers his expertise in pharmaceutical sciences (mainly focused in pharmacology, toxicology and clinical pharmacy) to International students from the School of basic Medicine and Clinical Pharmacy at China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing China.
