Dr. Begum YURDAKOK DIKMEN works as associate professor at Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. She works as the execute committee member (Secretary General) of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology Association since 2006 and expert in Biosafety Information exchange mechanism of Turkey and National Pharmaceopoeia Council. She was awarded by the European Commission in 2011 as Erasmus Student Ambassador, where she had represented Turkey in EU Commission and many other academic/non academic areas with this mission. She worked in Karolinska Institute, Sweden for in 2008 on pharmacogenetics. She has substantial contribution in the international committees in the faculty regarding accreditation, Erasmus and international - joint master degree programs. Due to her ambassador title, and her experiences she was called by several faculties for presentations around Turkey for the promotion of international/Europe based cooperations. She had participated in 11 projects, In which she was the project leader in 2, published 22 papers in SCI/SCI expanded journals and 10 in other peer reviewed ones. She had contributed in 6 international and 3 national book chapters. Her main research interests are in vitro toxicology, endocrine disrupting chemicals, residues in animal origin foods/environment, reproductive toxicology, environmental effects and detection of persistent organic pollutants, alternative/model organisms in ecotoxicology. She had scientific collaborations from all around the world with international-partnered/participated projects.
