Biography

Dr. Mohamed El Fadel OUSMAAL is Researcher at the biology and animal physiology laboratory of Higher Normal School of Kouba - Algiers, and associate professor at Nature and life sciences department, Faculty of Sciences, University of Algiers 1. He obtained his Ph.D in Endocrine and Metabolic Physiology and Pathophysiology (February, 2016) at Faculty of Biological Sciences. Department of Biology and Physiology of Organisms. University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumedienne. The abovementioned has worked in the field of animal physiology and nutrition for the last 7 years. He participated as researcher in multiple national projects. The area of his scientific and research specialization include the pathogenesis of diabetes-related microvascular and macrovascular complications such as diabetic nephropathy, diabetic retinopathy and atherosclerosis, histopathological and ultrastructural changes in diabetic Rat, steatosis and steatohépatitis and the use of microparticles as modulators and biomarkers of diabetes and obesity complications. Also, he participated as lecturer or one of the authors in multiple international congresses and seminars and is author of 2 original scientific papers amongst other publications. He currently works as researcher on two projects: Nutritional modulation of microparticles in dyslipidemia and effects of high calorie diet on the development of ultrastructural changes in the arteries.
