Dr. Franciska Vidane Erdo graduated as a pharmacist from Semmelweis University of Medicine, Budapest, Hungary. She received her University doctorate degree from pharmacology at the same University and completed her PhD also from pharmacology at Semmelweis University of Medicine, Budapest. She has several years of experience as a scientific researcher at research institutes, at the pharmaceutical industry, at the academy and also at a biotechnological company (contract research organization). She spent four years in the basic science in Germany at the Max-Planck Institute for Neurological Research, Cologne and at Charité University, Berlin. Her outstanding research was awarded several times by Institute for Drug Research and by the Hungarian Pharmacological Society. She is the member of Society for Neuroscience (SfN), Hungarian Society for Neuroscience, Hungarian Society for Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology and Transmembrane Transporter Society.

Currently she is a head of laboratory and faculty member at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Information Technology and Bionics. She is the author of several scientific articles in reputed international and national journals. She is the supervisor of several BSc and MSc students and leads basic science and pharmacological, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic studies focusing on the blood-brain barrier and the dermal barrier.
