Dr. Peter Oladimeji is a Research Associate in the Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He completed his doctoral training at the University of Toledo, Ohio and got his bachelor of science also at the University of Toledo. Dr. Oladimeji has an extensive experience in biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, and cancer biology. His research interests focus on two related areas. The first is to understand the molecular mechanisms in cancer cells, a subject which he investigated during his doctoral training. He has continued to be interested in cancer biology and have extended his interest to drug discovery and therapeutics development. This involves leveraging the understanding of cancer cell mechanisms to screen compounds for potential novel drugs, or make available drugs more efficacious. Dr. Oladimeji has an excellent record of scientific achievements with multiple publications and his work has been presented at various conferences. He also serves as editorial board member of several other journals.
