Dr. Chinwe Uzoma Chukwudi obtained her first degree in Veterinary Medicine (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where she also graduated with distinctions in almost all Veterinary Medical subject areas or courses offered, placing her as one of the best students ever produced by that faculty. Her outstanding performance earned her immediate appointment as a lecturer in the department of Vet. Pathology and Microbiology of the University of Nigeria, as well as a Commonwealth Academic staff Scholarship for her postgraduate studies. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and Microbial genetics from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, and currently works as a lecturer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where she is engaged in biomedical research and teaching, especially in the area of Molecular Pathology. She has a great passion for uplifting the research profile of diseases peculiar to Africa, many of which have huge prospects for the development of novel intervention strategies.
