Dr. Takashiro Akitsu (PhD.) is Professor of chemistry in Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science Division II, Tokyo University of Science, Tokyo, Japan. He accomplished his Ph.D. in Inorganic Coordination Chemistry from Osaka University (Japan) and also M. SC and B. SC from Osaka University (Japan), and he received protein crystallography and bioinorganic chemistry of metalloprotein research training as postdoctoral fellow and visitor scholar from Osaka University (Japan) and Stanford University (USA). Scientifically, he has been interested in relationship between (crystal) structures and electronic states of chiral metal complexes. Technically, he has been interested in developing novel organic/inorganic materials composed of chiral Schiff base metal complexes and various functional materials aiming at DSSC, biofuel cells and environmental catalysis. He has outstanding records of scientific and academic accomplishments as editorial board of many journals, numerous publications in prestigious journals or books and various committees and presentations in international conferences.
