Dr. Maqsood A. Siddiqui is currently working as an Associate Professor at Department of Zoology, College of Science, King Saud University, Riyadh, KSA. Dr. Siddiqui has received his PhD in Biochemistry from In Vitro Toxicology Laboratory, Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), Lucknow, India. He has worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at Division of Cardiology, Department of Medicine, University of Louisville, KY, USA. His core research activities are mainly focused to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms of toxicity of various nanoparticles, environmental chemicals, pesticides and new drugs with special emphasis on cytotoxicity, oxidative stress mediated damages, mRNA expression of apoptotic marker genes involved in cell death by qRT-PCR & protein expression by immunocytochemistry and immunowesternblotting methods using in vitro cell culture and in vivo rat models. Dr. Siddiqui is having number of research grants from different funding agencies and serving as an editorial board member of several reputed journals and expert Reviewer for the large number of well-known journals. Dr. Siddiqui has published more than seventy research publications in International journals of high repute and has presented more than sixty research papers in conferences/symposia. He is member of various scientific societies such as Society of Toxicology (SOT) USA, British Science Association UK, International Society for Neurochemistry, Saudi Biological Society, Society of Toxicology India, Indian Academy of Neurosciences, The Kentucky Academy of Sciences, USA.
