Dr. Khine Swe Swe/Han (MB, BS., DTMH., PDIC., Mmed, FCPath (Medical Microbiology) is principal specialist, senior Consultant/Lecturer of National Health Laboratory Service, University of KwaZulu Natal, IALCH academic Hospital. She accomplished her post graduate degrees studied from South Africa University School of Medicine. Scientifically, she has been interested in developing the successful antimicrobials stewardship program (ASWPs) and surveillance of multidrug resistant microorganisms with antimicrobial agents. Technically, she has been interested in developing novel resistant mechanism of colistin against the multidrug resistant bacteria. She is a chair person of Infection control committee for 10 years (2007-2016) and major contribution in 2017. She participates as a major role for Antibiotics stewardship program and chairperson responsibility is given in 2017. She has published 14 papers, 31 oral/ poster presentations and also a reviewer. She participates as an editorial board member of SASCM, a member of National clinical pathologists, FIDSSA and senate of UKZN.
