Dr. Chibueze Ihekwereme (BPharm., MPharm., PhD.) is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. His doctorate degree studies was a pioneer work aimed at engineering a new in vitro process for the prediction of substances and compounds that would be toxic to the human respiratory surface in vivo. After the completion of his doctorate research in Nova Scotia, Canada, he return to his home country (Nigeria) where he is actively working on natural products. He is also a fellow of the Poverty Related Disease College (www.prd-college.eu) which is a virtual college operated with funding from the European Commission (Funded under FP7-HEALTH, Project ID: 223581).
